Emilia is a neuroscientist with a PhD & post-doc from UCL in Linguistics, Neuroscience & Psychology. She is an expert in using language as a biomarker for cognition - there are fewer than 10 people in the world doing exactly what she does. Emilia won the Young Innovator’s Award 2020-21, has given a Ted Talk and was recently named one of the top scientists for mental health worldwide.

Stefano has over 17 years of expertise in bringing cutting edge mathematical models to production: he has a PhD in Theoretical Physics and worked as a quantitative analyst in large investment banks (JP Morgan, Citibank) for over eight years. Now, he is applying his skills to tackle one of the biggest health problems of our time: mental illness.

Psychologist & social neuroscience researcher with a particular interest in social cognition and mental health. She has experience obtaining funding in both academia and industry settings (e.g. EU, Innovate UK), running interdisciplinary studies, designing protocols and tasks for cognitive and behavioural experiments and using different methodologies like eye- and motion tracking, neuroimaging (fMRI, fNIRS) and Virtual Reality.

Agnes is a computational scientist specialising in improving health outcomes using data-informed treatment targeting and digital technologies. She has expertise in deep phenotyping through joint modelling of self-report and behavioural data and digital therapeutics. Agnes has held fellowships at the University of Cambridge, The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Max Planck-UCL Centre for Computational Psychiatry. At thymia, she develops innovative methods for tracking mood and cognition to ensure effective mental health support.

Elisa is a cognitive neuroscientist and award-winning science communicator whose research spans cognition, psychiatry, and technology. She has expertise in experimental design, neuroimaging, and mixed-methods research, with recent work exploring emotion and decision-making in virtual reality, and using EEG to investigate neurofeedback targets for psychotic symptoms. Previously at King's College London, she combined research excellence with teaching while co-founding a successful podcast. At thymia, she applies her expertise to both clinical and commercial products that advance mental health monitoring and support.

Giedre is a cognitive neuroscientist interested in brain health and the use of digital technologies for early detection and management of brain health conditions. She completed her doctoral training at the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford, studying memory functions, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at UCL's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, where she evaluated and tested digital technologies for early detection of dementia disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Ayla is a research scientist interested in digital health, wearables, and human-computer interaction. She completed her PhD in Neuropsychology at King's College London, followed by a postdoc in global digital health, where she designed digital interventions and evaluated wearable technologies for health monitoring. She also brings experience as a data scientist at an AI consultancy. Her expertise spans advanced statistical modelling using large-scale data, study management, and interdisciplinary health-tech projects

Owen is a machine learning researcher with extensive experience applying AI across sectors, including autonomous vehicles and healthcare. He has deep expertise in language models, focusing on model evaluation, benchmarking, and interpretability methods. Owen earned his PhD in computational neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, where he developed Bayesian models of visual perception to understand sensory processing differences in autism spectrum conditions.

Machine learning researcher with a PhD in Computer Science and a solid background in maths and biomedical engineering. He has nearly a decade of experience of developing cutting edge computer vision models. Now he is focused on making technological advances to improve mental health diagnostics.

Roseline is a Machine Learning Researcher at thymia. She works on subjects such as AI quality, confounding variables and longitudinal modelling. She has experience in AI risk management, having conducted bespoke audits for AI systems across various sectors at Holistic AI. In addition to auditing, she has contributed to developing AI governance, risk and compliance platforms. Before that, she worked in the Energy sector as a computational analyst. Her educational background is in Machine Learning and Engineering.

As someone with a very personal interest in mental health and brain science, George was drawn to thymia's inspiring mission of harnessing modern AI techniques to develop innovative solutions that can positively impact individuals' mental well-being in an era where the need for these tools is more pressing than ever before. Able to apply his backgrounds in both engineering and cognitive science to this domain, he is excited daily to work on and help shape the future of mental health technology.

Luis is a data scientist with a physics background and 4+ years of research experience performing data analysis, visualisation and modelling of complex multi-dimensional datasets, in both galactic astronomy and healthcare. He is passionate about neuroscience and psychology, and has a keen interest in leveraging technology to solve the world's biggest challenges, such as mental health. He also has some industry experience as a software engineer. At thymia, he performs data analysis and engineering to deliver insights from research, science and business perspectives.

Martin has spent his whole career mostly working in disruptive AI startups, previously working as Director of Engineering at Cazana, before its acquisition by Cazoo, where he also served as Head of Engineering until joining thymia in 2024. He has worked across Data and Product Engineering, often working with Machine Learning Engineers or Data Scientists to take concepts all the way from initial concept to production.

An ML Ops engineer with a background in all elements of the ML and Software development lifecycles. Jack has more than 10 years experience working on productionising data products, building MLOps platforms, working on large scale systems, and solving complex problems for customers and end-users.

David is a senior software engineer with over 7 years experience building scalable and robust web applications. With a comprehensive background working across the entire product and software development lifecycle, he has proven skills in building digital products from the ground up focussing on solving real user needs.

Greg began his career at ChyronHego, building cutting-edge, BAFTA-winning broadcast solutions, before moving to Perspectum in Oxford, where he developed advanced medical imaging software. With a passion for creating impactful technology, Greg now brings his expertise in backend systems and cloud infrastructure to Thymia, helping to power our innovative mental health assessment tools.

Jack is a highly skilled senior software engineer with over 15 years of experience in front-end web development across a variety of industries. He is dedicated to creating accessible and user-friendly experiences that make a positive impact. A strong advocate for mental health, Jack is passionate about leveraging technology to improve well-being in meaningful ways. At thymia, he combines his technical expertise with a thoughtful approach to deliver engaging, seamless and enjoyable web experiences.

With 5+ years experience within the software industry, I have a passion to create meaningful experiences. Combining backgrounds within user experience design, animation and software engineering to push past the limits of whats been done before.

Stella is a scientist and venture builder turned strategic communications advisor, with a PhD in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience from Cambridge and a Master's in Biochemistry from Oxford. She spent years in the technology sector, building a business as a first commercial hire and getting into voice AI long before the space took off, then channelling it all into communications as the highest-leverage application of everything she'd learned. With more than 15 years' experience advising deep tech and life sciences companies, from early-stage ventures to publicly listed on NASDAQ, the LSE and Euronext, she now shapes thymia's narrative for enterprise partners, investors and the global voice AI ecosystem.

Nivi is a finance professional and a qualified Chartered Accountant (CAANZ, Australia and New Zealand) with over 10 years of experience across Consulting, Pharma, FMCG and healthtech. Nivi started her career in Melbourne, Australia and moved to the UK ten years ago. Nivi specialises in finance, tax, operations, business partnering, contract management and implementing large target operating models for multi national businesses.

Madeleine graduated from Durham University with a First Class Honours degree in Criminology. She began her career at a health tech start-up, managing client onboarding and engagement. She then worked for the Metropolitan Police, qualifying as a Detective Constable specialising in domestic violence. Maddy is a strong advocate for mental health and well-being, believing in the power of technology and innovative approaches to improve mental health. At thymia, she combines her skills to nurture the team's well-being, growth and performance while preserving the unique culture during thymia's expansion phase.

Abisola is a versatile operations professional with a unique blend of healthcare knowledge and supply chain expertise. With a first degree in Pharmacy and a Master's in Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management, she brings a methodical and analytical approach to thymia's operations. At thymia, Abisola provides comprehensive administrative support to the leadership team, ensuring smooth operations across the organisation. She contributes to operational efficiency by streamlining processes and maintaining documentation systems ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Tatsuya joins Thymia with a mission to bridge our innovative technology with the Japanese healthcare landscape. Leveraging his extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Novartis, and his strategic background with the Japanese government organisation (JETRO), he spearheads the deployment of our unique technology in Japan. He focuses on cultivating high-impact partnerships with healthcare professionals and major enterprises to transform mental health assessment across the region.

With over 30 years of business experience, Tomo supports thymia’s business launch in Japan. He has a track record of helping Japanese companies' business expansions overseas and successful market entry into Japan for deep tech start-ups from the US, Europe, and Israel in various industries such as automotive, telecom, electronics, and fintech.
